The United Nations does not fail because of its Charter. It fails when those who have the power to make it work choose not to. That is a political problem — and political problems have political solutions.

The world's most complex problems demand a multilateral system that actually works.

Voices of Multilateralism brings together former ambassadors, undersecretaries-general, and senior UN officials who have spent careers inside the system. We write not to eulogize multilateralism, but to strengthen it — with the authority of experience and the urgency of the present moment.
